Day 30

Day 30, originally uploaded by tlheyman.
Day 30 of 2010 and Project 365. Happy to report I'm still participating and actually still very much enjoying it. Today's photo is capturing dinner out with my husband. Something we haven't done since my birthday in October. It was wonderful.

It's been a busy 30 days. I'm officially done with work (*again*) as of yesterday. I'll be returning my laptop to the office next week and returning to my life as a full time stay at home Mom. It's a relief. Trying to work from home with three kids four and under is a bit difficult. I've been doing it since October and am glad to be done.

My mind has been all over the map lately with ideas and projects.

Updating the house with new items and re-purposing old ones. I have a chair that I want to recover, curtains that I want to sew, a lamp shade or two or three that I'd like to cover with fabric, and a few paintings that I'm planning to reframe.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I've got tons of ideas and probably not nearly enough time. I'd love to make these and these and these and these and these. Will report back on which ones actually make the cut.

I'm not quite sure what has happened to me. I never used to be this crafty. I never put this much thought, time, and effort into teachers and classmate gifts.. or gifts in general. It took me forever and a day to wrap all of my Christmas presents this year because they included little bells, twine, paper garland and hand stamping. But, I must say, I like it.

A Day in the Sun

Finally.  A day above freezing and some much needed fresh air.

Project 365

As if I don't have enough things on my daily to do list, I decided to add one more.  Project 365.

The idea behind this project is very simple.  Take a photo everyday.  What you get out of this project is much bigger.  365 photos that tell a story of a year that has passed.  A diary of sorts.  It also forces you to use your camera and, in turn, hopefully become a better photographer in the process.  So, I'm basically killing two birds with one stone.

I've joined a flickr group for this project and have been uploading my photos there.  You can check them out here.

I've been enjoying this project so much.  However, it's only day nine.  Talk to me again on day 132 and I may have a different opinion.
